New Microsoft and the Irish Times News reader app. Using new metro style design with Microsoft technology. Applying the Irish Times App model to the Microsoft Metro style design was the goal for this project. Working with Microsoft and the Irish times we optimised the new technology resources, this includes a feature news feed on the Apps dynamic tile icon.

Maithú have been working closely with Samsung Ireland to deliver mobile phone content for its recently launched BADA App store. Thousands of Samsung phone users have already accessed out 'Irish Times Breaking News', 'Frása an lae' and 'Gaelfón' apps which featured on Samsung national advertising campaign for its new touchscreen WAVE phone.

Maithu have developed the 'O2 web launcher' software for the first Samsung Android phone on the Irish market, the 'Galaxy Spica'. The app allows users to access all O2 content, including Wallpapers, Music and O2TV from the launch screen of their phone.

Irish IT company Maithú limited have been contracted by Samsung Ireland to supply an Irish translation application for their mobile handsets. Following the success of their Tocco phone which was the first to have predictive text 'as gaeilge', Samsung have included the Gaelfón Dictionary application on their recently launched Pixon phone and plan to have it on new phones in the Irish market.
